The Sector Skills Service is pleased to invite you to use their Job Information Library.

The library is not a library of current vacant positions it is a library of information specific to types of work. It will allow you to read about the everyday work involved in the job, the skills you will need to undertake the job and the qualifications needed to obtain the position.

The ‘Job Information Library’ is an aid to those seeking employment, changing occupation or looking to decide upon a career path.

The ‘Job Information Library’ is a unique Library as it is being created by people undertaking work experience placements with the Sector Skills Service. These people are working as ‘Support Workers’ searching out the industry data and qualifying information before it is uploaded to the online ‘Job Information Library’.

All the work being produced is checked by OCR registered A1 Assessors and the work evidence, together with underpinning training, is being used to assist the people undertaking the ‘Work Experience’ to obtain a Level 2 NVQ.

This is an on-going project that over the comings years will help many people.
